Job Description

We are seeking a System Architect to lead the modernization of the Software Ecosystem of TOMRA Collection products and solutions
In this role, you will lead the definition and evolution of TOMRA Collection's reverse Vending Machine (RVM) Software System Architecture, ensuring quality, integrity, and scalability across hardware and software products. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on collaboration and technical leadership. You will:
Specific For This Role:
- Be responsible for the System Architecture of RVM SW, including setting principles and guidelines, with focus on information models / domain models.
- Lead the modernization and future-proofing of our SW architecture across the TOMRA RVM product and solution portfolio.
- Collaborate with other architects and SW developers on implementing the modernized SW architecture, ensuring a holistic system behavior across frontends (RVMs) and backend (Digital / TOMRA Connect).
- Be the subject matter expert on data / information model driven development in TOMRA and lead the development and establish life-cycle management of the TOMRA RVM Information Model.
Generic For System Architect:
- Translate business needs into system requirements and system architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Lead architectural decisions and risk assessments (safety and security).
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align concepts and technical solutions.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and project scoping.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, product managers, and engineering leads to define and implement the architectural vision for TOMRA's next-generation reverse vending systems.

Qualifications
Who Are You?
- You have a solid background from embedded software architecture in complex system design projects / products.
- You are familiar with both embedded SW and backend / cloud platforms.
- You have proven experience with Domain-driven Design and use of information models, using UML/SysML or similar.
- You preferably have experience with the use of YANG, NETCONF, RESTCONF and gNMI/gRPC.
We would you believe that you are truly quality minded, and that you always strive for excellence. You should be comfortable communicating both in Norwegian and English, and at the same time doing it from a business perspective and a technical perspective.
