We're building the future of advertising and looking for the minds to help us do it.
Darkroom is a technology-driven growth marketing firm focused on growth-stage consumer companies. We were founded in 2017 out of a conviction that the iconic ad agencies of tomorrow would look very different. Darkroom is a human services firm built on a universal AI commerce layer called Matter. Our model deploys a unique blend of senior, human resources enriched by an agentic technology stack that enhances output, efficiency, and revenue generation for our clients.
Our team has been responsible for billions of dollars in trackable revenue across the various e-commerce marketplace, direct-to-consumer, and social commerce programs under management. Using research aggregated across these engagements, we accelerate results for our portfolio by developing high-impact digital strategies that unlock gateways to revenue growth, transform marketing operations, and prioritize profitability.
What started as a boutique design agency evolved into one of the fastest-growing private companies in America (Inc. 5000), one of the most successful results-driven performance media agencies of the 2020s (Varos), and esteemed recognition by Forbes 30 Under 30 for our founders’ contribution in Marketing & Advertising (Forbes).
We are looking for an HR Generalist to help us support, grow, and empower our people.
Reporting directly to the Head of People, you’ll be a trusted partner across regions, ensuring that every employee has a smooth, engaging experience from onboarding to career development. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, cares deeply about people, and knows how to balance empathy with execution.
Your Mission
As HR Generalist, you’ll be the connective tissue between our employees, managers, and the People team. - Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers, offering guidance on policies, benefits, and HR processes.
- Foster a positive, solutions-oriented culture across all regions.
Hr Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records in our HRIS (we use Rippling) and ensure all documentation complies with local labor laws.
- Support compliance across both EMEA and US regions, with a strong working knowledge of employment law requirements.
Benefits & Payroll

- Draft, update, and communicate HR policies that balance legal compliance with Darkroom’s culture of autonomy and accountability.
- Contribute to People initiatives that reinforce engagement, inclusion, and retention.

- Proficiency with HRIS systems (Rippling preferred); familiarity with Notion and Figma a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust across levels and regions.
- High degree of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset — able to balance day-to-day execution with big-picture priorities.
- 2+ years in an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Requirements
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
