At DolarApp, we’re building the future of cross-border payments in Latin America. We’re looking for a General Manager of Licensing to lead our regulatory licensing strategy across multiple markets. This role is critical to ensuring sustainable growth, market expansion, and regulatory trust as we scale.

The Role

As GM of Licensing, you’ll be responsible for executing and overseeing DolarApp’s global licensing strategy. You’ll lead license applications and renewals, maintain strong relationships with regulators, and ensure that all regulatory role-holders (e.g., Compliance Officers, MLROs, CISOs) are appointed and effective.

You’ll collaborate closely with legal, compliance, operations, and executive leadership to embed licensing into business strategy, enabling growth while ensuring full regulatory alignment.

What You’Ll Do

• Licensing Strategy: Develop and maintain a global licensing roadmap aligned with expansion plans; track renewals and conditions across jurisdictions.
• Applications & Renewals: Lead license submissions (payments, e-money, lending, FX, crypto); manage external counsel, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Regulatory Engagement: Act as HQ liaison with regulators; attend key meetings with local Country Heads; build trust-based regulatory relationships.
• Oversight of Role-Holders: Ensure required local positions (Compliance Officer, MLRO, CISO, Directors) are appointed, effective, and aligned with global strategy.
• Internal Coordination: Work with the CLO, Country Heads, and Global Function Owners; provide regular updates on licensing status, risks, and timelines.
• KPIs & Assurance: Deliver licenses on time, with zero missed renewals; maintain regulator satisfaction; achieve strong audit/inspection outcomes.

What We’Re Looking For

Must-Haves:

• 10+ years in fintech, payments, banking, or regulated financial services.
• Direct experience with licensing frameworks (e-money, payments, transmission, banking, crypto).
• Strong project management skills across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven regulator relationship management expertise.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into operational execution.
• Comfortable working in a matrixed environment (HQ vs. local vs. functional teams).
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

Nice-To-Haves:

• Global exposure to international licensing standards; ability to adapt best practices to emerging markets.
• Deep understanding of fintech/payment models and how licensing drives strategy.
• Additional languages (Portuguese highly valued).
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and embedding accountability in compliance processes.
• Candidates with non-legal backgrounds (e.g., strategy, engineering, operations) encouraged to apply.
