Here is how the Condensate Stabilization Operator role will impact our business:
The Condensate Stabilization Operator is a hands-on operations role responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of midstream natural gas infrastructure. This includes work on stabilization, compressor stations, dehydration units, and associated field equipment to ensure consistent system performance.
This role is critical to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of EQT’s gathering and midstream assets. By performing essential field duties, including preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and pipeline operations, the Condensate Stabilization Operator role supports compliance, uptime, and operational continuity across EQT’s asset footprint.
By partnering with construction, engineering, and operations teams, the Condensate Stabilization Operator role enables successful project execution and system readiness, while ensuring field facilities operate within regulatory and company safety standards.
The Condensate Stabilization Operator responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of midstream infrastructure including Condensate Stabilization Operator, compression, pipelines, dehydration, and measurement systems.
- Operate and maintain stabilizers, natural gas engines, electric motors, gas compressors, dehydration equipment, and auxiliary systems.
- Performs basic operational tasks such as emptying tanks, refilling fluids and inspecting tanks and facilities, and overseeing condensate and NGL truck loading.
- Perform basic facility and equipment tasks such as fluid refills, tank inspections, and equipment condition checks.
- Support construction efforts by coordinating system shutdowns, pipeline commissioning, and participating in Pre-Safety Startup Reviews (PSSR) and SIMOPS.
- Accurately document field activity and maintenance in compliance databases and work order systems.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT PHMSA, PSM and FMCSA requirements, including participation in Random Drug & Alcohol Testing programs.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety through the use of Stop Work Authority and adherence to all EQT safety procedures and protocols.
Required Experience And Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the natural gas industry (pipeline, storage, or facility operations)
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and research skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment
- Self-motivated team player with strong initiative and work ethic
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various field locations
- 7 on, 7 off work schedule
Preferred Experience And Skills:
- Associate degree in a technical field, state electrical license, or other relevant certification
- 1–3 years of experience in field operations, glycol dehydration, mechanical work, or compression systems
- Knowledge of gas processing and midstream infrastructure operations
- Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Final placement will be based on skills and experience alignment with operational needs
Working Conditions:
Physical Demands:
This position requires sitting, lifting and filing throughout most of the day. There will also be outside office assignments that can involve walking around construction sites, industrial locations, field and/or wooded areas.
Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to outside weather conditions, which could range from extreme cold to hot, humid conditions. Walking on uneven terrain is often required during normal work duties. May require visiting and walking around some construction and industrial sites, farm properties, driving on rural roads, and other field locations, to acquire familiarity with facilities, properties and settings. High noise areas may be encountered. At all times proper PPE must be used in work areas.
This role is covered under PHMSA / FMCSA regulations.
Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
