Senior Manager, Security Program Management:
The Senior Manager, Security Program Management will serve as the operational project management lead for the LA28 Security team. This role is responsible for establishing programmatic rigor across Games Operations planning efforts, coordination, and delivery efforts within the Security function to drive alignment with internal and external stakeholders around shared timelines and outcomes.
This position demands exceptional communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to bring structure to ambiguity. The role will be responsible for developing and refining Games Ops security project timelines, workstream progress, and tracking risks. This includes but may not be limited to, the Event Operational Planning process, Venue Security operational planning, cross-functional operations, and NSSE/public safety Project Management support.
This is a highly collaborative role, perfect for someone who enjoys working with subject matter experts to make sense of complex information, solve problems, and bring people together toward a common goal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leads across the Security function to drive Games ops planning, priorities, timelines, and deliverables for the Security function.
- Monitor progress against project schedules and RADIO logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions, Opportunities).
- Collect and synthesize large sets of information into actionable reports for senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
- Create and manage program roadmaps, reporting dashboards, and delivery processes.
- Design and implement efficient processes that support workstreams interfacing with internal and external partners.
Background & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in project or program management, or business strategy roles.
- Experience scaling-up operational functions.
- Background or experience in security and/or government, public safety is not required but may be a plus.
- Proven experience managing complex projects, schedules, and collaborative, cross-functional efforts – ensuring deliverables on-time, on-budget, and to the right standards.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments, start-ups/growth environments.
- Experience using project management tools, software and frameworks (e.g., Smartsheets, Tableau, Excel, PowerBI).
Physical Requirements And Working Conditions:
- The position is in Los Angeles with in-person attendance required.
- The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
- The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
- Occasional travel to venues during the planning phase.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- PMP or similar project management certification, and/or educational focus in business or other relevant.

The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000-$140,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
