Aobut The Team
Here at Tide, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to oversee our Transaction Monitoring team in our first line of defence with experience in transaction monitoring within the banking payments space, with a deep understanding of fraud detection, compliance, and risk management. This role requires strong leadership skills, along with a deep understanding of fraud prevention, risk management, and compliance within the payments ecosystem.
Your team will be responsible for the monitoring of the transaction and behaviours across our customer base, ensuring we put our genuine members first, whilst spotting and investigating potentially suspicious activity. This role is a key element of our team, so we’re looking for someone who is a passionate investigator, possesses good knowledge on fraud and transaction monitoring, who will help reduce risk to tide, and let our members get back to doing what they love.
About The Role
- Lead and manage a team of up to 12 Fraud Analysts, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Oversee workflow and workload, ensuring efficient distribution and completion of tasks, including managing 24/7 shift patterns.
- Maintain high standards of quality, ensuring team members consistently achieve 95% or above in QA/QC checks.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, staying abreast of evolving fraud threats, risks, and control measures.
- Ensure adherence to Tide’s policies and procedures, complying with FCA requirements.
- Represent the team in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors.
- Make informed, regulation-based decisions and clearly articulate the rationale behind them.
- Manage team resources effectively through capacity planning, prioritization, and work allocation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance control and efficiency.
- Recruit, develop, and retain talented staff, fostering a high level of professionalism.
- Conduct regular performance management and provide constructive feedback to team members.
What We Are Looking For
- You have 4+ years of experience managing or providing supervisory support to Fraud analystsH
- You have specifically worked in an environment related to fraud prevention
- You have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English
- You must be self-motivator and self-starter
- You are focused on regulations and risks Tide would face.
- You possess exceptional listening and analytical skill
- You are able to multitask and successfully operate in a fast paced, team environment
- You must adapt well to change and successfully set and adjust priorities as needed
