The Reporting & Analytics Associate will play a vital role in supporting investor reporting, data accuracy, and business intelligence development across private equity and private credit funds. This individual will update fund performance models, prepare LP reporting packages, and deliver timely, accurate analyses to address investor requests.

They will also design, build and maintain dashboards in tools such as Sigma and Power BI, leveraging SQL, Python, and emerging AI technologies to optimize workflows and improve team efficiency. A strong data-driven mindset and attention to detail are essential, with the ability to identify anomalies, reconcile discrepancies, and uphold the integrity of information relied upon by internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring intellectual curiosity and adaptability, a willingness to learn new tools and approaches, and a strong commitment to producing precise, professional work that consistently meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and presentation

Responsibilities:

  • Update fund performance models, coordinate with deal and valuation teams, and prepare investor-ready LP reporting packages.
  • Build, update, and troubleshoot dashboards in Sigma and Power BI, leveraging SQL, Python, and AI tools to improve workflows and insights.
  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows and recommend targeted improvements, implement practical changes that enhance team speed, accuracy, and overall effectiveness, leveraging AI.
  • Manage recurring investor data templates and deliver timely, precise ad-hoc analyses, including calculations of key fund and investor metrics (IRR, MOIC, RVPI, DPI).
  • Proactively monitors data quality, reconciles discrepancies, and upholds the integrity of information relied upon by internal teams and stakeholders.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess:

  • Experience working with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Sigma, Power BI) and comfort learning new tools quickly.
  • Strong data-driven mindset with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring consistency and integrity across multiple data sources.
  • Intellectual curiosity and adaptability, with a willingness to learn new systems, explore emerging technologies, and dive into a leading asset manager’s fund and portfolio history.
  • A high standard of professionalism, consistently delivering precise, well-documented, and investor-ready outputs.
  • Proactive, self-starter mentality—able to take ownership, anticipate challenges, and implement solutions with limited direction.
  • Clear, timely communication skills that support collaboration across teams and with stakeholders
  • General understanding of financial markets, private equity or private credit. Candidates should be able to interpret complex financial information and be familiar with fund waterfalls and overall fund mechanics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance, data analytics or a related quantitative field
  • 2 – 7 years of relevant experience with a leading asset manager, financial services company, service provider or fund administrator

Salary Range:

At Petra Funds Group, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring practices. The compensation range for this position is $102,000 - $153,000 per year. This range represents the base salary only. Actual pay will depend on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills.
