Summary/Function: Marketing within D.A. Davidson Equity Capital Markets business is a highly visible position where the ideal candidate will be working strategically with the established ECM marketing team as well as the COO and President. The role is best suited for an individual who likes the challenge of driving new projects, is a proactive individual, works well within senior management and has an ability to learn new technology. Responsibilities include developing marketing strategies, writing and editing copy, managing the production, design and delivery of marketing materials, and ensuring client-facing advertising pieces, reports and presentations are updated as appropriate. This role must build effective client relationships with key business stakeholders and be able to work in a matrixed environment supporting many different business teams as well as the Marketing Department. The position also involves travel and marketing support of certain business conferences as guided by the marketing team.
Qualifications/Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or Graphic Design preferred, or equivalent work experience• Proven track record in the Financial Services Industry- minimum of three years preferred• Minimum of two years working in the field of marketing preferred • Experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including proficiency in copywriting• Strong time-management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously• Ability to work with tight deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of follow-through and attention to detail• Self-motivated, proactive individual contributor who can collaborate effectively across groups and within a team• Demonstrated ability to think creatively and provide strategic rationale for recommendations• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite• Ability to work with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability• Ability to travel as required
Duties:• Oversee the creation and management of long-term, multi-channel marketing objectives for key client groups, including advertising, public relations, promotions, and collateral material ensuring cohesive brand messaging.• Proactively develop strong client relationships with relevant Equity Capital Markets’ teams. Consult and partner with clients and various departmental resources to develop marketing and communication programs designed to promote our products or services. • Develop recommendations in alignment with organization goals and initiatives by collaborating with key Equity Capital Markets stakeholders for effective deployment. Work hands on with others to evolve, identify and implement improvement opportunities.• Ensure marketing projects are delivered in accordance with deadlines, meeting departmental expectations for quality and accuracy. • Manage internal and external processes and tasks with the help of appointed departmental Equity Capital Markets resources.• Prioritize marketing requests with the feedback of key stakeholders. Initiatives will include: marketing campaigns; branding awareness; consultation on email marketing tools and template designs for best engagement to be executed by departmental resources; social media marketing strategy related to closed transactions, new hires and industry commentary; deliver marketing collateral, oversee creation of new templates for use in group-wide PowerPoint materials to be maintained and distributed by departmental resources; ; liaise on press releases in partnership with Prosek and Public Relations team; collaborate with departmental stakeholders on updates to external website for Equity Capital Markets; work with respective department stakeholders on advertising plans, campaigns and budgets (e.g. relevant business journal and industry publications); and any other relevant items. • Regularly participate in Marketing Department team meetings and support various broader initiatives for the Marketing Department as needed.• Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to organizing, proofing, editing, design support, and more.

The potential base pay hiring range for this role is $75,000 annually. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate.
