We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Field Superintendent to lead and manage all field commissioning (Cx) activities at a high-profile data center project in Goodnight, Texas. This role is critical to ensuring that commissioning efforts across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and life safety systems are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with project timelines
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise all commissioning (Cx) activities in the field across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, life safety).
- Ensure all Cx milestones and activities are driven to completion in alignment with project schedules and client expectations.
- Monitor daily progress, identify constraints or roadblocks, and work with engineers to implement solutions.
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams, subcontractors, trades, and commissioning agents (CxA) to ensure field commissioning activities are executed safely and accurately.
- Provide updates on commissioning schedules, align with project engineers, and escalate issues when needed to avoid delays.
- Lead or participate in commissioning field meetings, ensuring responsibilities and next steps are clear for all parties.
- Support documentation efforts by verifying test procedures, checklists, and field reports are completed and submitted.
- Act as the key link between field teams and engineering teams, ensuring communication flows effectively.
- Promote and enforce adherence to project safety protocols during commissioning activities.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the construction or engineering sector, with some direct field experience preferred.
- Broad knowledge of multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, controls, plumbing, life safety).
- Proven experience coordinating or supervising commissioning activities in the field.
- Strong understanding of commissioning workflows, including planning, execution, and turnover.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and manage schedules, ensuring project milestones are met.
- Hands-on experience identifying and resolving commissioning roadblocks in collaboration with engineers and field teams.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to direct field personnel and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools or commissioning software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, CxAlloy, or similar).
- Commitment to safety, quality, and maintaining compliance with project and client standards.
Education / Licenses / Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or Construction management preferred
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable
