Where You’Ll Work:

Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person. 

You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.

This Role In A Nutshell:

A Senior Agile Coach drives agile initiatives within multiple teams or a functional area, influencing leaders and mentoring teams to adopt agile mindsets. This role focuses on coaching leaders, delivering training, and advocating for agile best practices, contributing to agile maturity within specific areas of OVO.

Your Key Outcomes Will Be:

  • Improved Agile Maturity within a Functional Area: Drive the adoption and refinement of agile practices within a defined area, leading to increased team effectiveness and product delivery.
  • Enhanced Leadership Understanding of Agile: Influence and guide leaders within the functional area to understand and champion agile principles and practices.
  • High-Performing Agile Teams through Mentorship: Develop and mentor agile teams fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and effective agile implementation.
  • Effective Agile Training and Knowledge Sharing: Design and deliver agile training programs and workshops, enhancing the agile knowledge and skills of teams and leaders.
  • Data-Driven Agile Optimisation: Promote a data-driven approach to agile improvement, encouraging teams to use metrics and feedback to optimise their processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach Leaders and Teams: Provide expert coaching on Agile principles, frameworks, and tools to leaders and teams, supporting their growth and Agile maturity.
  • Lead Agile Adoption: Drive Agile implementation within a functional area, tailoring practices to context while aligning with OVO’s broader strategy.
  • Design and Deliver Training: Create and facilitate engaging Agile training sessions and workshops to uplift skills and foster shared understanding.
  • Promote Agile Culture: Champion Agile values and practices, influencing stakeholders to embed agility across ways of working.
  • Assess and Improve Agile Maturity: Conduct Agile health checks and provide actionable recommendations to enhance team effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Mentor Across Frameworks: Guide teams in the practical application of Agile frameworks, adapting approaches to meet team and organisational needs.
  • Contribute to the Agile Community of Practice: Actively support OVO’s Agile Community of Practice by sharing knowledge, creating content, and contributing to cross-team learning and continuous improvement.

We’ll pay you between £60,000 and £86,500, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
