The Role
The Quality and Evaluation Officer provides essential support across all domains of educational quality, including Programs & Pathways, Teaching Quality and Student Experience, and Curriculum Quality. This role involves assisting with quality assurance processes, data collection and analysis, and the implementation of quality improvement initiatives. As part of a shared pool of staff, the Quality and Evaluation Officer provides support to the Manager and Leads, and collaborates with academic and professional staff to ensure high standards and continuous improvement in educational quality.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance processes across all domains (Programs and Pathways; Teaching Quality and Student Experience; Curriculum Quality), ensuring alignment with the University's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Support data collection, analysis, and reporting activities related to educational quality, providing accurate and timely information to inform decision-making and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with academic and professional staff to gather feedback, identify areas for improvement, and support the implementation of strategies to enhance educational quality.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of support materials and workshops for academic and professional staff on quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices.
- Undertake regular reviews, audits, and assessments of educational quality processes to support the identification of good practices and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain governance documentation, including reports, guidelines, and processes related to quality assurance and evaluation.

This position is located in the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Education and contributes to continuous improvement of education delivery at Macquarie University. Alongside the Macquarie University Academy, Macquarie University College, Graduate Futures, Access and Widening Participation team the Curriculum, Quality Solutions and Support team is focussed on providing experiences for students, staff and prospective students that are at the highest standards of excellence and support the University’s mission to deliver benefit, service and engagement
