What will the role be about

The National Sales Manager Italy is responsible for leading the national commercial strategy, managing and supporting the Regional Sales Managers and their sales teams across the country.

This is a senior leadership role, crucial for driving sustainable growth, aligning commercial policies with Group strategy, and maximizing sales performance nationwide.

The position requires a highly experienced professional with a strong track record in managing sales organizations, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset focused on results.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Business Development:

  • Define and implement the national commercial strategy in line with Group guidelines.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop initiatives to expand market share in Italy.
  • Ensure consistency in pricing policies, offers, and contractual conditions nationwide.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Lead, coordinate, and support the Regional Sales Managers and their teams, ensuring a unified customer approach.
  • Monitor and drive regional sales performance, focusing on revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Foster team development through training, coaching, and individual development plans.

Key Account Management:

  • Oversee and support the management of national strategic accounts.
  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with major stakeholders in target sectors (logistics, retail, pharma, food distribution).
  • Promote cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the full PF solutions portfolio.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track sales performance nationwide through CRM and KPIs, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Deliver regular forecasts and reports to the Country Manager and European management.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to propose corrective actions and growth initiatives.

Leadership Path & Transition Planning:

  • Actively contribute to budget planning, business reviews, and national decision-making.
  • Play a key role in achieving overall company objectives.
  • Act as a role model and ambassador of PF’s culture and values, fostering collaboration across teams and functions.

Who are we looking for

  • Proven senior management experience leading multi-regional sales teams.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills with senior clients and stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with a strong focus on profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial data and market dynamics.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with national and European teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of CRM tools (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Italy.
  • Valid driving licence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8/10 years of experience in B2B sales roles, including at least 5 years in national or multi-level management positions.
  • Solid background in mobility, fleet rental, logistics, transport, or related service industries.
  • Proven track record in business development and managing strategic key accounts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales & Marketing, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Italian: fluent/native.
  • English: professional level.
  • French: a plus.
