Job Summary
Principal Accountabilities:
- Performs visual inspection of server, rack and components, to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship by following the proper systems, procedures and work instructions
- Utilizes gages, templates, microscopes, and other manufacturing aids to ensure that all products meet the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
- Ensures that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected at Quality stations.
- Monitors and reports quality metrics to ensure business needs are met.
- Prepares reject reports by first identifying necessary information for follow up and notifies the involved parties.
- Assists with the disposition of all non-conforming materials/products.
- Notifies the appropriate personnel if unusual product defects are identified or if process yields fall below acceptable levels. For server, test stations end to end and rack
- Performs process audits and assists manufacturing with the interpretation of the quality and workmanship standards.
- Provides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified.
- Enters all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual system, for process audits, LPAs server, rack.
- Manages LPA and ESD administrative duties including training, scheduling, and metrics tracking.
- Ensures materials, personnel, and facility are compliant with ESD standards.
- Conducts internal calibrations on a regulated basis and facilitates external calibrations as needed.
- Provides immediate feedback to production areas when audit is completed.
- Timely escalations of Quality issues to operations team & ensures resolution.
- Stays current with all regulatory compliance according with their work instructions and procedures if apply for they station.
- Escalate if any issue according with the stablished escalation path
- Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Demonstrates competency through functional skills and process knowledge. Typically requires an understanding of basic auditing techniques.
- Use of the following skills may be required:
- Electronic Assembly: component, schematics, mechanical assembly, surface mount assembly;
- Inspection: bare board, components, cable, harness, microscope, measuring tools;
- Office Skills: Computers and tablets. Office software to include, word-processing, spreadsheets, and presentation packages.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply understanding of function to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Internal certifications such as calibrations and ESD.
External certifications such as ISO desired.
Scope / Impact:
*May conduct new-hire induction.
Decision Making / Discretion:
*Can perform analyses/ work using some independent judgment. Decisions may affect other teams.
Supervision / Leadership:
*May give direction to other employees
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Depending on the area, the employee may be exposed to work that requires repetitive motion and inspecting large and/or small objects. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, ear protection may be required in certain areas.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required talk and hear. The employee is required to stand and walk for long periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds by themselves.
