Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre is currently looking for Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join their Manufacturing Engineering team in Bangalore, India. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of a global team working on providing ME solutions to a wide range of Boeing products and services across the world. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) business organization.
Position Responsibilities:
- Interpret/author assembly work instructions, interpreting/authoring dispositions, work on Non-Conformances in manufacturing Plans, Red Lining of IP’s and drive process standardization for structural products
- Processing NCRs creating plans, scheduling, releasing and revising plans.
- All PDM work associated with supporting the work requirements of the NCR disposition.
- Processing shop requests for revision of work placement, plan revisions, and general rework.
- Monitor and Investigate the Manufacturing Engineering/Production Engineering queues to determine the correct course of action to resolve the discrepancy.
- Redline Installation Plans and create correction actions as required to resolve issues which slow down or stop production.
- Coordinate with Project ME to provide the correct course of action to revise Installation Plans for current and follow-on line numbers.
- Assist with Reallocations of parts and assemblies as required.
- Reload and/or supersede Installation Plans as required due to Installation Plan revisions.
- Enqueue Installation Plans upon request from the barge to allow the shop to continue production.
- Work Closely with Flow Day Manufacturing Engineering team and Manufacturing Operations Leaders to support Live Production Lines
- Authoring, issuing, revising, shopping plans within CMES application for a given disposition and coverage panel.
- Performing PDM transactions based on NCR disposition requirements.
- Performing inquiries to properly perform rework and determine in sequence point of NCR rework.
- Review Installation Plans to determine the cause of a discrepancy identified in a SAT.
- Liaison with suppliers/customers to address quality issues and process improvements.
- Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
- Major Tool Experience – PDM, CAPP, CMES.
- Nature of Work requires Shift Wise Support both Morning and Evening on a rotation basis.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering is required as a Basic Qualification.
- 2+ years of work experience in aerospace ME Planning, Liaison Engineering, Fabrication planning
- 4+ year of experience involved with production/manufacturing planning of Mechanical Structures/Support to Live Production Lines
- Interpret and Provide Disposition on Issues/NCR’s for various Installation Plans
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing execution systems Like CMES, CAPP, PDM etc.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Boeing products/Commercial aircraft platforms is highly desirable.
- Having Short or Long Term Visa for US is desirable but not mandatory.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through a Bachelors in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Aerospace) and typically 5 to 8 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Masters in Engineering + 4 years' related work experience).
