BMO Bank is seeking a results-driven, culture-focused, and strategic Finance Manager to lead financial planning and analysis for our Personal & Business Lending division. This key leadership role will act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, providing clear insights, actionable recommendations, and financial stewardship to support growth and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted partner to senior business leaders, aligning financial strategies with overall organizational goals.
  • Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives; ensures solutions are aligned with business and enterprise goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial performance, including actuals, forecasts, and outlooks.
  • Deliver deep financial analysis and insights that inform strategic decision-making and improve profitability.
  • Partner cross-functionally to evaluate new business initiatives, pricing strategies, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and maintain robust reporting and performance tracking to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Lead budget planning cycles, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Provide thought leadership on cost management, process efficiencies, and performance optimization.
  • Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide Financial-related insights and recommendations.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Supports development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manages the coordination & analysis of financial and operational highlights of the business; works with others service teams to deliver reporting, planning and forecasting requirements.
  • Reviews financial information for reasonableness and highlights/escalates areas of interest or concern.
  • Builds change management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
  • Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

Qualifications:

  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
  • Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.
  • Influence skills - In-depth.
  • Data driven decision making - In-depth.

Salary:

$74,000.00 - $138,000.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
