The leader will oversee strategy, execution, people development, and client engagement, ensuring that BI solutions are future-ready and aligned with global standards while tailored to local market needs.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the BI vision and roadmap for India & Indonesia, aligned with APAC and global BI strategies.
  • Champion the adoption of self-service BI, AI-driven insights, and automation, ensuring scalability and efficiency across markets.
  • Stay ahead of emerging BI trends (GenAI, cloud analytics, data governance, predictive modeling) and assess their relevance for business impact.

Operational & Technical Excellence

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of BI solutions, reports, dashboards, and analytics products using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SAP-BI, and cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Ensure solutions meet data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Oversee performance metrics, KPIs, and business metadata frameworks to enable consistency and comparability across markets.
  • Partner with global technology teams to integrate emerging tools and optimize the data infrastructure.
  • Business & Client Partnership
  • Collaborate with country leadership and cross-functional stakeholders (Commercial, Finance, Operations, HR) to define analytics priorities, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Translate business needs into BI solutions that directly drive growth, efficiency, and client impact.
  • Represent BI in client-facing discussions, showcasing how analytics capabilities deliver business value in the FMCG and retail sectors.
  • Build monetizable BI products and services that address evolving client needs.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing BI teams across India and Indonesia.
  • Develop a talent pipeline, coaching team members on advanced analytics, visualization, and storytelling skills.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous learning, encouraging the team to leverage AI and automation.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive BI/Analytics experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong expertise with at least one enterprise BI platform (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik); exposure to cloud BI solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP) highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in the FMCG, retail, or market research sector; ability to link BI outcomes directly to business strategy and client value.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling BI teams across geographies.
  • Track record of data product innovation – creating BI/analytics products that drive revenue or efficiency.
  • Strong business acumen: ability to engage senior stakeholders, influence decisions, and communicate complex data stories in clear business language.
  • Familiarity with AI in analytics (e.g., automated insights, natural language queries, predictive modeling) is a plus.
  • Experience in data governance, metadata management, and data stewardship frameworks.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Continuous learning credentials (e.g., certifications in BI tools, cloud platforms, or data strategy) are an advantage.

What We Offer
