Job Description

We are seeking a Buyer with experience in construction procurement to support the sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management activities for data center projects. This role ensures timely acquisition of materials, services, and equipment required for mission-critical installations, with an emphasis on cost efficiency and contract compliance.

Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchase Orders

• Process and manage Purchase Orders (POs) for materials and services required for electrical, mechanical, architectural, and civil scopes.
• Coordinate with engineering and site teams to align procurement timelines with construction milestones.
• Maintain records of procurement activities and ensure accuracy and compliance in all transactional documentation.

Vendor Negotiation & Contracting

• Source qualified vendors and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and commercial conditions aligned with project budgets.
• Review and manage contracts to ensure terms meet project technical and financial requirements.
• Support pre-qualification of suppliers and ensure alignment with quality and safety standards for data center construction.

Schedule & Delivery Coordination

• Track delivery schedules and ensure availability of equipment and materials on site according to construction sequencing.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to monitor receipt, inspection, and inventory status.

Communication & Reporting

• Collaborate closely with project managers, construction leads, and financial controllers to maintain budget discipline.
• Prepare procurement reports, purchase status summaries, and forecasting updates for internal reviews.
• Interface with vendors to resolve discrepancies, delays, or documentation issues.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles within construction or infrastructure environments, preferably in data center or industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proficiency in procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Procore) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with construction contracts, commercial terms, and compliance protocols.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
