Pratt and Whitney is looking for a highly motivated CFO, F119 & TF33 Programs within our Military Engines Fighter & Mobility (F&M) Finance Team.
The position will be an onsite position based out of our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.
What You Will Do:
This position, as TF33/F119 CFO, provides the unique opportunity to build and demonstrate leadership skills while fostering relationships in a dynamic setting across multiple functional groups.
The position has P&L, Balance Sheet responsibility and significant exposure to P&W and Military Engines senior executives. The ideal candidate is an energetic, instinctive, self-starter interested in leading teams and growing businesses.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Partner with the F119/TF33 Program Directors and the Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT) team to drive strategic initiatives and assess impact of business decisions on the financial results.
- Prepare all financial support for monthly program reviews. Brief program leadership on the financial results and drive accountability for profitability across the organizations.
- Work closely with the program and the operations/supply chain organization to deliver on material commitments, manage inventory growth, manage product cost and mitigate risk to achieve our financial plans.
- Manage the program finance teams and focus on expanding and developing their financial analysis and experience. Identify critical roles and ensure succession plans are in place. Train, mentor and lead staff, providing opportunities for analysts to work on various projects and increase their exposure to finance leadership.
- Lead all financial activities related to the programs including but not limited to financial analysis, monthly reporting, cash forecasting as well as the annual long range plan process (LRP), understanding monthly financial actuals, proactively identifying risks/opportunities and supporting various ME financial leadership reviews.
- Collaborate with cross functional business groups by providing support in areas such as new business campaigns, product offerings, customer solutions, cost reduction activities, and process improvements.
- Ensure standard work is current and complete, drive process improvements to your existing processes and optimize maturity to meet/exceed CORE expectations.
- Ensure internal controls are adequately functioning and that internal and external audits are fully supported.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- B.S. in Finance/Accounting required or equivalent experience and minimum of 12+ years prior relevant work experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10+ years prior relevant work experience.
- Possess a working knowledge of SAP, business warehouse and One Stream financial reporting.
- Ability to shift between programs and issues while maintaining a working level knowledge of key challenges.
- Excellent analytical skills including variance analysis (intellectual inquisitiveness) and strong business judgment, advanced understanding of business strategy and financial modeling, and developing and implementing a long-range financial plan.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build customer relations with internal and external customers.
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders to achieve results.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability of developing a team’s analytical and program finance skill set empowering them to be effective business partners driving results
- Knowledge of government contract accounting.
- Process improvement champion.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
