The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a dedicated and hands on Inventory Control Supervisor to optimize our Biopharma team, delivering results against some of the most complex business and technology initiatives.
This role will be a full-time position based out of our Devens, MA facility. You will have the opportunity to set daily targets, work through cycle counts, and determine logistics for in and outbound materials. The Team
Avantor’s Fluid Handling team is part of our Lab and Production Services business unit. This team supports the innovation and growth objectives of major laboratories across the globe by helping with the integration of new technology solutions into their lab processes and operations.
What we’re looking for
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 5+ years in warehouse / IC with 2+ years in a leadership capacity
- Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Navigating and sorting through MS Excel
- Mathematical aptitude
- Maintaining and updating inventory records
- Warehouse and inventory management systems
- Cleanroom
- ISO
- Product location search and appropriate records adjustment
- Maintaining records to accurately track recouped product and return saleable product to stock
- Supervising inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs
- Developing required reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of audits, counts and adjustments
- Warehouse
- Managing a team responsible for inventory management/movement
How you will thrive and create an impact
- Applies sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, coaching and disciplining employees.
- Maintains and updates inventory records.
- Conducts any search to locate products within the system and adjusts records when there are discrepancies.
- Maintains records to accurately track recouped product and return saleable product to stock.
- Supervises the inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs, including weekly and monthly reports.
- Develops all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts and adjustments.
- Works with Customer Service Representatives, and Warehouse Supervisors.
- Performs other duties as assigned
