About The Location:

Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen is ideally located in the heart of the commercial district of Futian, across the Shenzhen Conference & Exhibition Center and a short walk from the Civic Center which houses the city’s Municipal Hall and Museum as well as near the famed Shenzhen Concert Hall and Library. The Hotel is surrounded by 3 modern shopping malls and is a few steps away from the subway metro station and 10-minute drive to 2 Hong Kong borders of Huanggang and Futian. Built along contemporary lines, the Hotel features 266 rooms inclusive of 32 suites, a Club Lounge, Business Centre, 4 food and beverage outlets, and a grand ballroom with 5 other function venues plus a unique outdoor multilevel Terraces.

About The Role

People & Culture Manager is Department Head with the direction of all aspects of the People & Culture Division. This includes benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention of staff, communication to staff, career development of staff, wage & hour compliance, training, workers’ compensation, and legal matters related to hotel employees.

What you will do

• Act as an objective 3rd party in employee counseling, problem solving or conflict situation and communicate to Director of People & Culture any circumstances that may raise legal issues for the hotel.
• Identify, analyze, and initiate appropriate actions to resolve any unsatisfactory pattern of employee turnover.
• Create and adhere to an annual budget for People & Culture Department including benefits, labor & salary reports and plan cost effective events within the People & Culture Department budget guidelines.
• Conduct regular audits of insurance records, vacation, and sick allowances.
• Maintain employment files and other records personally and People & Culture Manager through delegation in a detailed manner on paper and in the computer system.
• Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors while maintaining the confidentiality of People & Culture.
• Administer and train employees on behalf of People & Culture including but not limited to Embark, benefits, core, and culture standards.
• Organize and supervise all employee recreation programs include holiday parties, children’s party, general meetings etc.

What You Bring

• A College education or equivalent experience.
• Minim 2 years experience in a related position with Four Seasons or other organization.
• General working knowledge of labor laws that is either learned on-the-job or People & Culture Manage rough a series of professional certifications.
• Knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in both Chinese and English language.

Schedule & Hours:

• Forty hours over a five day period;  scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
