The Difference You Make:

The Sr. Associate, Marketing leads in developing, implementing, evaluating and administrating US marketing campaigns working within guidelines of annual marketing calendar to promote consumer and business lending products, mortgages, deposits, e-services etc. for Santander Bank and Openbank. They are responsible for developing and maintaining Santander and Openbank’s comprehensive paid media strategy, with a focus on acquisition as it relates to marketing and communications to increase visibility, acquisition, and traffic for the brand. 

  • Leads in developing, implementing, evaluating and administrating Santander and Openbank US marketing campaigns working within guidelines of annual marketing calendar to promote consumer and business lending products, mortgages, deposits, e-services etc.
  • Ensures the marketing department is providing transparency, accountability, and data-driven research in pursuit of company business goals and objectives.
  • Owns strategy and implementation with partner agencies for all paid media channels: SEM, Aggregator/Affiliate, Social, Display, CTV, Audio, Direct Mail, with a focus on acquisition media. 
  • Manages projects related to all financial products including developing and implementing marketing plans for product launches and product updates.
  • Responsible for daily analysis of paid media and marketing campaigns and creates insights and optimizations from performance marketing metrics. 
  • Works independently and with designated ad agencies to oversee media placement, reporting, tagging, implementation, and partnership. 
  • Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; provides marketing optimizations and recommendations for internal stakeholders, including C-suite. 
  • Ensures that marketing promotions meet or exceed set objectives by collaborating with the Marketing Analytics, Brand Strategy, and Integrated Marketing teams to gauge campaign performance and reports ROI.
  • Complies with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration or equivalent field. - Required.
  • Master's Degree: Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration or equivalent field. - Preferred.
  • 9+ Years Marketing, Communications or related experience. - Required.
  • 3+ Years Financial Services Industry/Banking experience - Required.
  • Direct Mail experience - Required.
  • 3+ years in Aggregator/affiliate marketing for financial services - Required.
  • Acquisition marketing expertise - Required.
  • Demonstrated experience in Aggregator/Affiliate channels, all digital media, acquisition marketing, and full-funnel marketing strategy. 
  • Ability to motivate or influence inside or outside senior level personnel, requiring a significant level of influence and trust.
  • Strong acquisition and marketing analytics skills
  • Comfortable with new digital technology, social media, and reporting.
  • Candidate must be able to think strategically, and work independently, but be willing and able to roll up sleeves to help implement the programs and measure results collaboratively. 
  • Strong project management and critical thinking skills, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate results to management and in a fast-paced environment; including counterparts across global organization.
  • Ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment; ability to listen, evaluate different viewpoints and influence others.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$93,750.00 USD

Maximum:

$160,000.00 USD
