About The Role

We are currently seeking a Category & Shopper Insights Lead to join our Retail team.  Reporting to the National Account Manager, you’ll lead the development and execution of category growth strategies that shape the future of the Irish Distillers portfolio within the  category. Acting as the voice of the shopper and customer, you’ll ensure all category decisions are insight-led, commercially sound, and deliver measurable results.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior internal stakeholders and external customers at a senior level.  Reporting to the National Account Manager, you will be joining a fantastic, collaborative, fun team culture. What’S Involved?

  • Develop and execute a 3-year plan to accelerate category growth across diverse retail channels.
  • Shape strategies that unlock both category expansion and increased market share for Irish Distillers.
  • Lead range reviews for all key customers, ensuring objective and insight-driven recommendations.
  • Drive category initiatives in partnership with retail customers, maximising ROI and joint value creation.
  • Play a key role in Joint Business Planning (JBP), shaping strategies that deliver for both customers and Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard
  • Leverage Nielsen, dunnhumby, Shopper Intelligence and other data sources to generate best-in-class insights.
  • Build dashboards, scorecards and monthly reports to provide clarity on market context, category performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted partner to National Account Managers, Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, and HQ.
  • Build and manage strong external relationships with customers, agencies, and data providers.
  • Manage budgets for category projects and external agency partnerships.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years in Category Management, Insights, or a related commercial function.
  • Strong technical expertise in Nielsen, dunnhumby, Spaceman or similar tools.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Proven strategic thinker, able to design and deliver growth initiatives.
  • Skilled in turning data into actionable insights and influencing decisions.
  • Experience leading range reviews and delivering commercially successful outcomes.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Direct customer-facing experience within retail.
