Reporting to the Chief Commercial and Content Officer, the Senior Director, Partnerships will lead the strategy and execution of key partnership initiatives for Augusta National Golf Club, including those associated with the Masters Tournament, Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, Latin America Amateur Championship, Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals and The Patch. This role requires a highly strategic and hands-on leader who excels at building and nurturing relationships, ensuring long-term engagement and value creation.

The ideal candidate comes from a sports or entertainment background, with proven experience in partnership activation and renewal management. They are a strong relationship-builder, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and delivering creative solutions that maximize partner satisfaction and business impact.

This position is a full-time, on-site role in Augusta, GA.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Renew, negotiate, and expand existing partnership agreements in collaboration with the Chief Officer.
  • Oversee fulfillment of partner advertising, hospitality assets, and contractual commitments for the Masters Tournament and other ANI events, including on-site and off-site activities, broadcast and digital inventory, and in-kind agreements.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive Fulfillment Reports for all ANI partners.
  • Review and approve all partner activation plans, advertising materials, and digital media executions.
  • Prospect, identify, and cultivate new partners and strategic vendors to maintain a strong pipeline supporting ANI initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and drafting of long-term strategic plans for the Business Affairs department.
  • Monitor partnership rights fees and asset inventories across the sports industry to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop innovative partner activation concepts that align with the Masters Tournament brand and ANI’s Grow the Game initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior executives at potential partner companies and advertising agencies.
  • Ensure effective operations and achievement of departmental KPIs, measuring results and allocating resources as needed.
  • Lead hiring, performance management, and professional development of direct reports and team members.
  • Manage all partner on-site commercial shoots.
  • Oversee partner credentialing for the Masters Tournament and other ANI events.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, delivering results through effective relationship management.
  • Oversee the P&L for partnership components of the Masters Tournament and other ANI event budgets, including forecasting, budget management, and payroll allocation.
  • Define and execute overall department strategy, ensuring resources are aligned to accomplish initiatives.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research emerging trends in sports partnerships, advertising, television, and digital media, and present findings to the Chief Commercial and Content Officer.
  • Cross-train with colleagues in the Business Affairs department to provide support for other functions when needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management that are considered integral to the role.

Qualifications:

Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:

  • Extensive knowledge of business operations and practices.
  • In-depth understanding of the sports and golf industries.
  • Broad understanding of the television media marketplace.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of  partnership and media sales process.
  • Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in developing and delivering effective presentations.

Relative Experience/Education:

  • Minimum of eight to ten years of business experience, preferably within a sports or media partnership environment.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Business or a related field.
  • International business experience preferred.

Required License(S):

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully completes the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program

Projected Work Schedule:

Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays and travel as necessary.
