Position Summary

The National CP Sales Director has the strategic vision on how to develop the LivaNova CP business in Japan and, at the same time, is focused on execution to realize its strategic vision.
Essential Job Functions
- Achieve all LivaNova Japan CP sales objectives: orders, revenue, contribution margin, customer satisfaction & retention while staying within allocated base cost budget
- Understand and analyze market dynamics and competition to develop business opportunities. Provide on-going feedback to management
- Successfully manage and collaborate with internal stakeholders both from Sales/Marketing & Operations to develop sales growth strategy and the execution plan to ensure short term and long term growth continuously
- Translate strategy and business plan into actions that can be tracked, measured and adjust actions timely to be competitive in the market.
- Build/Manage strong relationships with customers’ decision makers/management/KOLs and support sales team to win the opportunity
- Build/Manage strong relationships with distributors’ management and support sales teams’ negotiation/business discussions with distributors
- Support organizational development through an inclusive approach, being able to lead the existing local sales team to achieve stretched targets. Strong focus on first line managers’ development and engagement of the team
- Act as a primary CP customer point of contact and represent one LivaNova
- Promote, identify and escalate commercial service needs
- Attract, retain, train, and develop top talents
- Follow LivaNova policies, procedures and operating mechanisms
- Demonstrate unbending ethical behavior and instill a strong compliance throughout the organization by systems and walking the talk, ensuring knowledge of compliance and its company policies
Education & Experience
Bachelor'S Degree
Minimum 10+ years’ experience in sales/marketing (preferably in the Medical Device industry), and minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership position.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Skills & Capabilities
- Demonstrate personal leadership. They need to be champion the company line, hold others accountable for following that direction, and model personal engagement.
- Manage execution. Set and drive targets and communicate specific goals to their teams.
- Strong business acumen and analyses. Have clear views on issues and solution directions. Be able to review and monitor relevant information and market intelligence to make accurate decisions about which situations to focus on, what business opportunities to prioritize, and what challenges to address.
- Expected to solve problems within their span of control instead of escalating all issues, and be mindful on Return on Investment
- Ability to develop and set up the department’s processes and structure. Aptitude to introduce and supervise the changes required by the situation, and to control and manage business, drive organizational strategy.
- Resource management. Prioritize activities to allocate resources appropriately to the most critical needs.
- Build high-performance sales manager and sales teams. Attracting, hiring, retaining, and developing first line managers. Make sure that first line managers are made accountable for the managerial job.
- Establish credibility with HCPs and administrators at the higher levels of hospitals. Engage in conversations that add value to their customer base.
- Multidirectional communication and enabler to team working. Making sure that there is collaboration inside the team and excellent relationship with other groups and function in the company.
- Lead and promote change. Driving consistent corporate messages, share tough feedback and mobilize people. Take ownership
- Coaching/developing others: ease to provide positive and negative feedback in a constructive way, helping and guiding the team members in their growth.
