Position Summary:
This position will set up, tear down and operate the stuffers as well as all related equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Setup and operate all stuffers and related equipment.
- Keep the tables and conveyors full of meat at all times.
- Twirl product while stuffing.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
- Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions.
- Use the proper equipment and the correct size linker while stuffing.
- Assist in cleaning metal detectors.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
- Maintain general manufacturing practices.
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
- Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
- Perform any other work as assigned by management.
- Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently.
- Ability and willingness to lift/lower/carry 20 pounds or greater with back and legs.
- Ability and willingness to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.
- Ability and willingness to use both hands to work.
- Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
- Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
- Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
- Ability and willingness to distinguish between shades and/or colors.
Preferred Skills:
- Machine Operator experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- RF Scanner experience preferred
Requirements:
- 3 months of work history with the same employer
