The Group Insurance Valuation Actuarial team is an integral part of the Group Insurance operation. The team performs valuation and reporting of all Group liabilities while also supporting many other business processes. A key part of this role will be developing an understanding of how the results produced by the team impact the overall Group Insurance business and its strategy.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What You Can Expect:

  • Supporting the financial reporting process for GAAP and STAT valuation basis.
  • Alm.

  • Aat.

  • Model programming, development, and testing.
  • Creating tools and new approaches for understanding drivers of financial results.
  • Producing liability cash flow projections for several uses.
  • Working closely with business partners to in supporting the business and strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
  • Passage of one or more Society of Actuaries exams and working towards ASA designation.
  • Strong technical skills (Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI etc.).
  • Highly motivated, well organized, and detail orientated.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

What You’Ll Need:

  • Actuarial internship or relevant experience preferred.
  • Programming Experience in any computer language is preferred but not required (e.g. Python, R, SQL, Visual Basic, C++, etc.).

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $69,200.00 to $103,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
