This position will be hired on a SuccessFlex basis.
The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location:
Grandview: 1000 Yard Street Grandview OH, 43215
Work schedule: 2 days in office, 3 days remote.
This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.
It is our intention to fill this role in Columbus, Ohio or Scottsdale, Arizona. However, on occasion, applications from internal candidates working remotely who bring critical industry skills and relevant experience may be considered.

General Ledger Analyst – Life, Annuity, Income Products, Advisory & NBSG
We manage and reconcile financial activity related to life, annuity, and income products, as well as advisory and NBSG transactions. This includes incoming and outgoing funds, check issuance, and interdepartmental transfers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily account research and reconciliation of financial transactions.
- Investigate discrepancies and variances in collaboration with business partners.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of general ledger entries.
Preferred Tools & Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas and macros.
- Experience with general ledger systems such as Frontier and PeopleSoft.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collects, analyzes, verifies, researches and recommends solutions to processing and booking problems and reports through daily analysis.
- Balances and reconciles various cases and suspense account to the general ledger.
- Prepares and analyzes financial reports and statements.
- Ensures accuracy of reporting and reconciliation for various businesses, products and functions.
- Trains and cross-trains other team members on work functions and processing procedures.
- Acts as technical source to answer questions from other departments.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Manager/Director.
Typical Skills And Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in accounting, finance or related field.
Experience: Two years of experience in accounting, finance, tax reporting or customer service.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate both internally and externally. Ability to set work priorities that conform with established standards.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
