A day in the life.
As our Client Executive on the Employee Health & Benefits team, you’ll develop and strengthen client relationships by delivering timely, high-quality service and expanding accounts independently. This role involves direct collaboration with the sales and client management team members to retain a book of business, manage daily tasks, and delegate responsibilities as appropriate. Additionally, you will lead in coordinating the marketing and placement of new and renewal business while ensuring that the account team meets client service deadlines. Also, you will provide consulting services on Employee Health & Benefit programs, advising clients on market trends and data analytics. Finally, you will promote agency best practices in communication and identify opportunities to enhance existing accounts and generate referral business for agency growth.
- Develop effective business relationships through in-person visits, entertainment, and virtual contact at various levels within client organizations.
- Utilize internal relationship-based sales methodology and lead efforts to promote agency expertise through educational events.
- Assist clients with strategic planning, goal setting, renewal planning, and establishing timelines.
- Identify additional business opportunities and cross-sell services.
- Review compliance and client disclosure requirements, ensuring alignment with internal policies and legal standards.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing ongoing training and support.
- Stay informed on industry trends and legislative changes to effectively advise clients and manage risk.
- Lead marketing and placement efforts for new and renewal business, including preparing submissions and negotiating coverage and pricing.
- Cultivate and expand client relationships, acting as a liaison between departments to enhance service levels.
- Ensure confidentiality of client information and respond to all facets of customer service.
- Lead a larger more complex book of business and execute client benefit strategies and deliverables.
- Conducts carrier implementation with high level of attention to detail on complex benefit design.
- Foresees and notifies team of client risk.
Our Future Colleague.
We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, human resources, communication, or a related field, or equivalent work experience and high school diploma/equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in the employee benefits industry, ideally with an employer, insurer/administrator, consultant, or broker
- Previous experience managing relationships and face-to-face client experience
- Knowledge of technical underwriting and extensive knowledge of commercial industry laws, products, coverages, and markets
- Proficiency with Agency Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
- State Life & Health Insurance License within 3 months of hire
