Within Pfizer Digital, the Customer & Commercial Creation Center (C4) group builds solutions for external customers throughout the product lifecycle. We support stakeholders to engage external customers through digital solutions, whether that is patients, HCPs, payers, pharmacists, or clinical sites.
The Customer & Commercial Creation Center (C4) are thought partners and technical solution providers to commercial arms of the business (e.g., Pfizer’s sales force or marketers), working at the intersection of technology and healthcare.
Our Platforms & Engineering Marketing Technology team manages the customer data that Pfizer collects from its integrated websites, mobile apps and marketing platforms. We have a range of services including Identity, Consent Management, a fully-fledged CDP (Salesforce Data Cloud) and CRM (Marketing Cloud) as well as a range of subsidiary services and tool, e.g. analytics. Our platform has evolved over 10 years to send millions of emails and manage billions of customer interactions and events.
Our mission for the coming years is to migrate from fragmented legacy implementations to a coherent customer-centric ecosystem of services built around Salesforce’s products. Our goal is to improve customer experience and especially to improve patient outcomes through intelligent, inventive and compliant use of the data collected as people interact with Pfizer’s customer-facing systems and assets.

Role Summary
As a Solution Engineer, Identity and Consent Platforms you will be part of a development team working on Identity and Consent platforms creating best-in-class experiences for customers, patients and healthcare professionals.
You will be a technical member of a scrum development or project team using agile development methodologies to provide continuous delivery of digital experiences across our customer focused teams. You will work closely with Product and Solution Leads, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, Engineers and other Developers, Client Partners, vendor partners and others to accomplish the team’s and the organization’s goals.
You will be responsible for delivering high quality software solutions. This role requires strong collaboration skills, the ability to work independently with a focus on high quality and a strong sense of accountability. The role also requires a strong desire for continuous learning to stay current with the rapidly evolving global technology landscape and significant attention to detail and quality.
What You Will Achieve
In This Role, You Will:
- Lead and manage moderately complex projects, ensuring effective use of time and resources.
- Apply specialized skills and knowledge to contribute to departmental work and decision-making.
- Independently resolve moderately complex problems and develop new solutions in ambiguous situations.
- Review your work and mentor colleagues, providing directional guidance and feedback.
- Develop, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain robust software solutions for business needs.
- Guide operational teams in project management, resource forecasting, and identifying improvement areas.
- Facilitate agreements and ensure alignment between different teams within the Pfizer Digital organization.
- Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement by initiating and monitoring technical and organizational projects.
- Manage contract resources to deliver technology solutions that meet business needs and provide technical direction to support teams.
- Collaborate with global digital services, manage UX activities, and drive application rationalization to streamline local applications.
Basic Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years’ experience in web and software development.
- Experience in Laravel, PHP and associated PHP frameworks, JavaScript, Vue, Terraform, Auth0, CIAM technologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic web technologies, such as REST, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience in modern software development technologies, including distributed versioning systems, continuous integration/deployment, automated testing and Agile programming practices.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.
- Strong attention to detail with high standards of quality and customer value.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to take ownership of issues.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully designing, delivering, and maintaining Information Technology business solutions.
- Hands-on experience in developing and deploying analytical platforms.
- Deep understanding of web-based technologies and concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences.
- Effective organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant technical experience with emphasis on software development and maintenance.
- Experience with developing solutions aimed at medical professionals.
- Experience in the Pharma industry desirable.
- Working knowledge of Jira, GitHub, Docker, GitHub Copilot, Terraform.
- Experience with AWS and demonstrated understanding of cloud application architectures (We heavily leverage AWS and experience of its services and how to use them is a definite bonus).
- Experience with Salesforce.com, Snowflake, OneTrust.
- High proficiency and proven successful delivery of experiences using Agile development, especially scaled agile and lean techniques and methodologies.
