The Position

Kaufman, Hall & Associates, LLC, is seeking a Senior Specialist, Resource Management to support a streamlined Resource Management program that will optimize deployment of our consulting workforce in a manner that satisfies the needs of our external clients, supports business priorities, and ensures continued development of our people. This position will report to the Director, Resource Management.    

  • Optimize utilization of consulting population across our Practices
  • Manage resource requests to understand projects sold, engagements in the pipeline and the validity of staffing requirements 
  • Leverage the resource management tool to forecast hours needed, track actual utilization and monitor incoming staffing needs
  • Subject matter expert on the resource management tool, responsible for training and educating others in the organization on staffing processes and best practices
  • Develop and maintain KPI’s on a weekly basis, providing real-time utilization metrics and staffing reports to practice leadership and project managers
  • Proactively engage with consultant population to gain a complete understanding of their skills, strengths, experience and aspirations to help identify the right staffing opportunities
  • Lead and document processes to capture a realistic view of current and forward-looking capacity
  • Monitor and maintain records of employee development goals, skills, and expertise
  • Assist with the bi-annual performance review process to ensure all consultants receive feedback on a timely basis

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of experience working in a professional services firm with proven success, familiarity with staffing models and utilization, or as a member of a dynamic human resources team within the consulting industry.

In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics preferred
  • A highly intelligent individual with a substantial degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Demonstrated discretion and great judgment, with the ability to interact comfortably and professionally with all levels
  • Strong teamwork and organizational abilities with great attention to detail and superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Possesses a high degree of integrity and strong moral and ethical standards.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work Environment

  • Travel Required: 0-10%
  • The role is based in Chicago and requires 3 days per week in the office.   
  • Work is regularly performed in a combination of office/home office and routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • It may require the maintenance of a home office and proximity to an airport for work-related travel.

The current base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $110,000.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $0.00 to $0.00.
