About Your Business Area/Department:
Leading the North America and Latin America Collections operation and processes.
In this role you need to ensure efficient working as one team with other Finance partners in order to maximize Amadeus revenues and cash while ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.
Summary Of The Role:
- Lead and monitor the collection activities (Accounts Receivable / Cash Application / Bad Debt proposal / Dunning) and processes for North and Latin American Travel Agencies.
- Manage monthly closing and reporting activities to ensure deadlines are met.
- Foster the improvement of collection KPIs and ensure SLA compliance.
- Define the AR strategy for the department and manage priorities withing the area of responsibility.
- Manage the relationship with travel agencies and commercial teams to resolve billing and collection issues. Negotiate payment plans and resolve disputes.
- Identify obstacles to early cash collection and lead the upstream (permanent) resolution process with commercial teams as well as Contract Fulfillment and Billing areas.
- Increase efficiency and team collaboration with other finance stakeholders including Contract Fulfillment, Billing, Source to Pay, Record to Report and Controlling departments.
- Drive permanent improvement to evolve OTC via raising requirements to internal solution teams
- Leadership and coordination in projects related to process improvements within the Accounts Receivable area to maximize customer impact.
- Talent Development and Retention.
- Ensure processes are duly documented and followed.
In This Role You’Ll:
- Work together with other finance areas and internal customers to ensure positive Key Performance Indicators in line with agreed Service Level Agreements for operational Collection processes.
- Be a business partner for internal departments and customers, providing support and advice in relation to Collection and Dispute Management.
- Drive, collaborate and give input on the evolution of Order to Cash related processes.
- Work on local and international projects.
About The Ideal Candidate:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a team leadership role
- Hands on manager and leads by example. Participates and handles some of the daily activities of the department.
- Ready to go an extra mile to obtain extraordinary results
- Process optimization expertise and proven results in prior positions
- Project management experience
- English bilingual (C2)
- Fluent Spanish, Portuguese is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Identify new requirements, identify problems, analyze, prioritize and solve them.
- Proactiveness and initiative.
- Excellent communication, conflict management and team development skills.
- Expert level in SAP S4 Hana and Excel
- Salesforce and Power BI are a plus.
