Job Summary

Freewheel is building the platform for Premium Video and we’re looking for a Vice President, Streaming Hub (Auctions & Decisioning) will be responsible for defining the vision and strategy for development and innovation of portfolio of products within our Streaming Hub, including our supply side ad server, integrated programmatic platform, and the associated interfaces, optimizations, and workflows. Successful candidate will partner with Engineering leads, Revenue, Services, Sales and Marketing teams and will lead product suite owners towards developing and maintaining products that achieve customer driven goals aligned.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Work closely with Chief Product Officer to define the vision and strategy for the portfolio in alignment with company’s financial goals and other business objectives.

Focus

  • Set the product strategy and vision for Freewheel’s Streaming Hub in line with the FreeWheel Goals and Objectives
  • Own the creation and evangelization of the Product Portfolio Vision and Strategy
  • Ensure Portfolio Vision and Strategy are aligned to delivering the FreeWheel Operating Goals and Strategy
  • Develop goals, budget, and strategic business plans. Recommend ways to expand sales and profitability.
  • Ensure alignment of product portfolio with macro trends, consumer preferences & competitive landscape
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Empower the teams within the Portfolio to identify new development opportunities from industry trends and challenges and perform market analysis to guide product decisions and roadmaps.
  • Maintain an expert understanding of the advertising and media landscape, including vendors, partners, and new technologies.

Execution

  • Identify and evaluate new product ideas or strategic product extensions and ensure goals in revenue growth and market share are achieved. Serve as a subject-matter expert for Freewheel’s Streaming Hub products.
  • Make and execute on investment decisions within the portfolio
  • Review Performance Reporting for Porfolio of Product Suites and underlying Product teams
  • Ensure Teams are leveraging FreeWheel best practices and guidance for operations and tools, and evolving practices when necessary to achieve better outcomes
  • Ensure Go-To-Market and Commercialization activities within the Portfolio are accelerating our time-tomarket and client adoption strategies

Management & Leadership

  • Motivate and inspire multiple teams to deliver to a Porfolio Vision and Strategy
  • Ensure Product Suite leaders are developing motivating visions and strategies for Product Suites across the portfolio.
  • Create and develop an operational culture within the Portfolio that provides connectivity to each other and the greater vision and strategy
  • Directly manage multiple Product Suite Managers and indirectly teams of Product Managers
  • Direct the policies, team practices, and goals for the TV Platform Product Management department
  • Develop, Hire, and Grow talent within the Portfolio

Collaboration And Evangelization

  • Work as a teammate and a partner to the Engineering Portfolio lead
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Engineering Lead and Architect and Product Suite owners and ensure the Architecture vision is serving the Portfolio Vision
  • Coordinate with Business leaders to align Portfolio Vision and Strategy with Sales strategy
  • Evangelize the Portfolio of products with teams across FreeWheel, clients, and across industry
  • Coordinate with Business leaders to align product and sales strategies
  • Align Priorities across Product Portfolios to streamline execution of FreeWheel’s strategic initiatives
  • Potential for up to 20% time for travel (domestic and international).

Required Skill Sets

  • 10-15 years of Product Management or equivalent experience with a successful history of delivering customer-oriented, complex solutions in a fast-moving environment, ideally in the digital advertising space.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital advertising technology industry and strong grasp of innovations in the space of Programmatic advertisement, connected TV, Digital Videos etc.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or an MBA encouraged
  • Experience managing a team of product managers across multiple geographies
  • Experience collaborating with teams across the organization to deliver on goals
  • Demonstrated management experience and the ability to make big things happen by working with a team and being open and encouraging of new ideas.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn, understand, and expand complex products, processes, and concepts.
  • Superior communication skills for addressing colleagues and customers; the ability to present complicated concepts in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience understanding and evaluating client requests, translating requests into detailed designs, and guiding engineering through implementation.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the industry, development processes, and business priorities.
  • Experience defining and leading company vision-critical product strategy or as head of a product
  • Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

Compensation

Primary Location Pay Range: $279,481.02 - $419,221.53

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
