Our Air Vehicle Design team in our Military Aircraft Group is looking for an Avionics Systems Engineer to join them. You will report to the Air Vehicle Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Mineral Wells, TX. 

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: 

  • Hold an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other significant related engineering degrees and related technical engineering professional experience. 
  • Knowledge of Design and Development processes; Internet software; spreadsheet software and word processing software. 
  • Knowledge and experience of aircraft and avionics systems. 

In This Role, You Will:

  • Work with others to review and evaluate product requests from customers and formulates conceptual and feasible design changes to existing products to meet customer requirements. 
  • Work with others to analyze project proposals to determine feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and production time, and discuss proposals with engineers and other personnel. 
  • Support customer avionics system development and design. 
  • Support system/software integration activities to verify proper functionality of the products. 
  • Support development of new testing applications or modifies existing tools to support integration activities and formal tests. 
  • Support the software/system development activities for the company’s new and legacy product lines. 
  • Support the development and implementation of OASIS and EICAS configurations based on customer requirements, FAA requirements, human factor considerations, and standard aviation certification practices. 
  • Support avionics systems ground and flight testing. 
  • Support system and subsystem analysis and requirements specification. 
  • Support system and subsystem modelling and performance analysis. 
  • Certification project support: TSO and STC projects. 
  • Support evaluation of product design for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, quality standards, and specifications. 
  • Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, at times more than 30%.  
  • Must be able to do engineering work in flight test on aircraft.

Salary Range Transparency:

Mineral Wells, TX $68,000.00–$80,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
