About The Role

In this role, you will work closely with business leaders and executive officers in the banking industry to understand their needs and support them in addressing their most complex challenges whether it’s launching new digital platforms, responding to regulatory change or driving lasting operational improvements.

In this role, you will

  • Develop and nurture strategic client relationships to drive long-term partnership growth and maximise business opportunities.
  • Lead end-to-end projects within banking, from requirements gathering and solution design to development, testing, deployment and post go-live support.
  • Lead cross functional teams including business SME, workstream leads, technical and functional experts, solution architects to define and manage project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for project status, risk management and issue resolution. Lead interactions with senior stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project plans/ artifacts including resource allocation, times, budget tracking.
  • Support development of proposals based on your understanding of client needs, your experience and knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Build and showcase thought leadership by sharing insights, contributing to industry discussions, and guiding strategic client solutions with innovative perspectives.

  • Extensive practical experience in banking, with a strong grasp of the sector's complexities, challenges, trends and best practices.
  • Experienced in leading transformation and change projects, from initial discovery to execution. This involves identifying opportunities, developing business cases, securing stakeholder support, and designing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Ability to simplify complex business problems into clear solutions and create delivery plans. Support clients to execute against project plans in both agile and waterfall environments, using tools like JIRA and Confluence. Relevant third-level qualifications, with professional certifications in Programme or Project Management (such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to design both intermediate and future state business architectures, encompassing organisational structure, processes, information systems, and technology infrastructure. Align design with strategic goals and facilitate seamless transitions and long-term growth.
  • Skilled in applying service design methodology to provide a comprehensive end-to-end, front-to-back view of operations and analysis. This includes creating customer personas, identifying user needs, mapping journeys, and developing service blueprints.
  • Experienced in lean process improvement and re-engineering for operational excellence; knowledge of tools such as Visio, Miro, and Blueworks is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to utilise digitisation and automation, such as RPA, workflow optimisation, MI reporting, power platform and AI, to enhance operational efficiency.
