Job Details

Alloga Logifarma Portugal, base on Sintra is a logistics and pharmaceutical services company that specializes in providing integrated supply chain solutions for the healthcare sector. As a part of the Alloga group, it focuses on optimizing the distribution and storage of pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and enhancing the efficiency of logistics operations.

As the Head of IT, you will collaborate closely with business functions and Group/Divisional IT teams to facilitate the seamless and efficient integration of Alloga Logifarma into the Cencora business. You will also ensure that the operations of the IT Department align with the Alloga UK strategy and business plan.

Funtions:

• Planning

• Leads the development and implementation of a strategic IT plan to support the market commercial plan.
• Proactively engages and drives the business, working with senior leadership teams, to develop the commercial capabilities and expansion to deliver the fiscal commitments contained in the LRP.
• Gain support for the country’s IT strategic plan through rigorous and comprehensive communication with the wider IBG and Cencora teams.
• Monitor the execution of the country’s strategic and tactical plans and ensure early communication of challenges and risks with opportunities to resolve.
• Lead the development and execution of all IT policies to ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and quality standards required, both for the market and Cencora.

Operations

• Work closely with all central functions to ensure that architecture, scope, functionality, and support structures are all aligned with global IT policy.
• Protect, stabilise, and ensure full reliability of all systems to high availability and service performance levels.
• Ensure that the IT function is organised in the most effective way and in line with the global IT strategy.
• Oversee provision of high quality, service orientated end-user services, including service desk and technical support services.

Compliance

• Facilitating the engagement of external auditors and provision of documentation required for audit on a timely basis.
• Ensure stringent asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership in IT matters related to business continuity and disaster recovery, including having an up-to-date strategy that is regularly tested in line with business policies.
• Establishes and manages the annual budget of the IT function, in line with delegated authority policies.

Personnel

• To carry out any reasonable request as determined by the Managing Director.
• To ensure that all direct reports always adhere to company Health & Safety policies/ standards, with all accidents and near misses being reported immediately to the HS&E Manager.
• To ensure that all department activity is performed in accordance with company procedures and client instructions.

Requiriments:

• IT Management experience at Director level.
• Bachelor level university degree in computer science or relevant qualification.
• Knowledge of relevant aspects of GDP.
• Project and programme management, both in infrastructure and business applications.
• Definition and delivery of IT strategies.
• Proven ability to use initiative and judgement to make complex decisions.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.

The offices are located in Sintra and we work in a hybrid format, 3 days at the office.
