With a bright future ahead, we are seeking team members for our exciting Balranald operation where we will be deploying a new mining technology. Using remotely operated, novel underground mining (UGM) systems to extract key critical minerals.  

Our processing plant features essential processes, including screening, de-sliming, thickening, spirals, flotation, magnetic separation, and upgrades to optimize mineral recovery. The plant also includes a pond dredging system for fine tails reinjection.  

About The Location

Iluka’s Balranald operation is located approximately two hours by road from Mildura in regional NSW.   

You can choose to reside locally, drive-in drive-out from towns within the regional area, or fly-in fly-out from Melbourne.  

For South Australian residents we will mobilise you via road transport from our Iluka office in Adelaide.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance Team at our Balranald operation.

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, the primary function of the role is to assist in the optimisation of plant availability by carrying out maintenance tasks on fixed and mobile equipment in accordance with established Iluka standards, including safety and environmental procedures.  
 

The core responsibilities of this role include:  

  • Recommend and perform preventative maintenance routine inspections and carry out troubleshooting and diagnostic analysis 
  • Solve reliability issues using fault-finding abilities  
  • Continual assessment of the process, equipment, and procedures as well as troubleshooting problems   
  • Electrical Trade Certificate – HV switching preferred
  • Instrumentation fault-finding and installation knowledge 
  • Good numerical, literacy, and computer skills with proficiency in SAP or similar application  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Preferred High Risk Work tickets; Forklift and Elevated Work Platform >11m
