We are looking for a highly motivated Proposal Manager to join the Minerals and Metals team in North America. Reporting to the Director of Proposals, you will lead and support the development of proposals with the ultimate goal of becoming the preferred partner for our clients in engineering services.

Reporting into AtkinsRealis WinWork M&M Lead, You will lead and coordinate the proposal development activities for major projects as well as those of various sectors of Minerals and Metals. This includes plant engineering (mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and control, etc.) and mine waste and water management (hydrology, water treatment, geotechnics, mine reclamation, geochemistry, etc).

Your role within the team

As a member of the Marketing and Proposal team, you will be responsible for:

• Lead proposals, both new and ongoing, from preparation to award, and provide support for the transition to execution.
• Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills with proven writing (grammar, spelling) and proofreading abilities.
• Self-taught, the candidate can lead sections (e.g., project descriptions and resumes), adapting them to client requirements.
• Thoroughly review client tender documents to understand needs, timelines, and request clarifications as needed.
• Write and develop clear and technically convincing proposal content to create winning submissions.
• Develop and maintain a network and strong relationships across the company to ensure the proper participation of various engineering, project execution, and legal teams in proposals.
• Facilitate kick-off and review meetings throughout the proposal development process.
• Lead the management of proposal documents.
• Gather participant feedback on each proposal to incorporate "lessons learned" into future tenders.
• Actively engage with engineering and project execution teams to stay updated on key technical developments and new capabilities that can be offered to clients.
• Collaborate extensively with the M&M business development team and contribute to the strategy and sales processes.

Qualifications for the position

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in mining, engineering, or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of the consulting engineering field is an asset.
• Motivated and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal, influence, and trust skills.
• Ability to understand, compile, and present various information in a logical and attractive written format.
• Comfortable with tight deadlines and task prioritization under time pressure.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills (knowledge of Excel, MS Dynamics, Power Point, Adobe INDesign and SharePoint is an asset).
• Works independently while functioning effectively as a team member.
