New College Graduate Design Evaluation Engineer
The Position:
The Precision Amplifier Group (PAG) is seeking a Design Evaluation Engineer to work as part of a project team comprised of members from disciplines such as marketing, design, test, assembly, quality, and application engineering to bring a product concept to a released mass production solution. The ideal candidate would have some experience with amplifiers, analog to digital converters, power management, PCB design, analog circuits, and software development.
Responsibilities:
- Perform device evaluation, characterization, and debug across all operating conditions
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify, simulate and correct device functionality and/or performance
- Participate in team meetings and activities. Follow through on commitments and communicate issues in a timely manner. Share knowledge and information readily.
- Support development of hardware and software for automation/manual test capability including debug/analysis of hardware, PCB design, software development for various debug tools and instrument software drivers
- Work with Design and Test engineers on validating and correlating bench to ATE data
- Demonstrate solid oral, written, and presentation communication skills to efficiently communicate across a global organization where success is highly dependent on collaboration and effective communication
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in EE or ECE or equivalent relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of Analog/Digital circuit design and test techniques
- Familiarity with performing circuit evaluation and characterization using bench test equipment including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to solve complex problems through design of appropriate experiments and analysis of complex data
- Strong organizational and analytical skills toward capture of aggressive schedule demands
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
- Strong team worker within multi-discipline and multi-cultural environments
- Capable of clear, accurate and timely communication both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IC fabrication (BIPOLAR and CMOS), process technology and device physics
- Working knowledge of LabVIEW, Python, Visual BASIC, HTML, and/or C/C++/C#
- Familiarity with printed circuit board (PCB) design and layout tools (OrCAD, Cadence)
- Soldering skills
