Associate Analog Design Engineer
About the Role
As an Associate Analog Design Engineer at Analog Devices, you will contribute to the design and development of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. Working under experienced mentorship, you will learn and apply fundamental analog design principles while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a supportive environment focused on your growth and development. This entry-level position emphasizes learning and skill development through hands-on experience with standard practices and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Analog Circuit Design: Assist in designing and developing basic analog and mixed-signal ICs including sensor interfaces, data converters, multiplexers, active and passive filters, and power distribution systems
- Simulation and Validation: Perform basic simulations and testing to validate design performance against specifications
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for designs and test results
- Collaboration: Participate in design reviews and team meetings to gain exposure to the full development process
- Troubleshooting: Support debugging and troubleshooting efforts for analog circuit issues under supervision
- Learning and Development: Focus on building fundamental knowledge of analog design concepts and methodologies
Must Have Skills
- Analog Circuits Design: Basic knowledge of designing and analyzing analog circuits including amplifiers, filters, and data converters
- Mixed-Signal IC Design: Foundational understanding of how to integrate analog and digital circuits in mixed-signal environments
- Simulation Tools: Basic proficiency with industry-standard simulation tools such as SPICE and Cadence Virtuoso
- Laboratory Equipment: Familiarity with standard lab equipment including oscilloscopes, function generators, and spectrum analyzers
- CMOS Technology: Basic knowledge of CMOS technology principles for integrated circuits
- Integrated Circuit Layout: Fundamental understanding of physical layout design considerations and implementation
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Internship or project experience in analog/mixed-signal design is a plus
