Job Description
About The Role:
We’re looking for an experienced digital analyst with deep expertise in web and digital analytics to join our marketing team at Zendesk. This role focuses on the full web analytics lifecycle—from gathering business requirements and implementing scalable tracking strategies to managing tagging frameworks and leading platform migrations. You will design and maintain robust, accurate, and compliant data architectures that support optimized user experiences and drive business growth. You'll collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to enable data-driven decision-making across multiple digital channels.
What You’Ll Be Working On:
- Lead end-to-end web and digital analytics implementation, including requirements gathering, solution design, tracking setup, and ongoing reporting/analysis.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive tracking strategies and scalable tagging frameworks across web properties, support marketing and product analytics needs.
- Manage complex platform migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal data loss or disruption, especially moving between analytics platforms or upgrading configurations.
- Design and implement both client-side and server-side tracking solutions, balancing data accuracy, privacy compliance, and technical performance.
- Integrate OneTrust and other consent management systems into analytics to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Rigorously QA and debug tagging and analytics implementations during launches and ongoing maintenance
- Drive integration of digital analytics data with other platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce, CDPs, and data warehouses to enable holistic, unified insights.
- Document tagging schemas, technical configurations, and establish best practices to maintain consistency and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on analytics initiatives and technology strategy, coordinating projects via Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration tools.
- Support A/B testing infrastructure by creating measurement plans, managing instrumentation, and analyzing test results to inform optimization.
What We’Re Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience in digital and web analytics focusing on implementation, tagging, and platform migrations in B2B SaaS or self-service digital settings.
- Expert-level proficiency with digital analytics tools like GA4, Amplitude, Adobe CJA, with hands-on experience in advanced event tracking, funnel analysis, segmentation, and migrations.
- Strong skills designing and managing scalable tagging frameworks using GTM, Adobe Launch, or similar tag management platforms.
- Practical experience with both client-side and server-side analytics setups, understanding their benefits and challenges.
- Proven ability to integrate consent management platforms like OneTrust to ensure privacy compliance in tracking.
- Extensive QA and debugging experience of complex analytics implementation using industry-standard tools.
- Skilled at supporting integrations of analytics data with CRMs, MAPs, Customer Data Platforms, and data warehouses.
- Strong documentation skills, able to create and maintain tagging documentation, technical configs, and process guidelines.
- Solid collaborator, working effectively with engineering, marketing operations, product, and analytics teams in fast-paced environments.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to understand webpage structure, help implement and troubleshoot tracking code, and collaborate effectively with development teams.
- Foundational SQL skills and familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Looker) are a plus but secondary to implementation expertise.
Certifications And Preferred Skills:
- Adobe Certified Expert – Adobe Analytics Developer
- Adobe Analytics Certified Professional
- Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ)
- Experience with Adobe WebSDK, Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Omniture
- Familiarity with data science tools and languages such as Python, R
- Knowledge of digital marketing channels and channel-based analytics
- Experience with Google Analytics APIs, Adobe Analytics APIs and automation

The US annualized base salary range for this position is $146,000.00-$220,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
