Weekend Cashier (Part-Time) — Farm & Home Hardware (Ashland)

Love helping neighbors, talking projects, and keeping a smile even when the line gets long? Join the Farm & Home Hardware crew in Ashland as our Weekend Cashier! You’ll be the friendly face at the front, making checkout fast, accurate, and genuinely welcoming.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers and run the register with speed and accuracy
• Handle cash, cards, returns, and gift cards
• Answer quick product/location questions and call for department help when needed
• Keep the front end stocked (bags, receipt paper, impulse items) and looking sharp
• Jump in on light straightening/cleaning between rushes
• Be a positive teammate who brings the energy on busy weekends

What You Bring

• A people-first attitude and clear, friendly communication
• Strong attention to detail and basic math/cash-handling skills
• Comfortable standing on your feet and lifting up to ~25 lbs as needed
• Reliability—weekend availability is required (holidays and special events as scheduled)
• POS experience is a plus, but we’ll train the right person

Schedule & Pay

• Part-time, weekends required (10–20 hrs typical)
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Compensation: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
