Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day quality assurance operations to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards.
• Monitor and enforce food safety programs, including HACCP, GMPs, and SQF standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure adherence to quality protocols.
• Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including non-conformances, customer complaints, and product deviations.
• Manage internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and ensuring successful outcomes.
• Train and mentor QA team members on quality processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and maintain quality records, including inspection reports, test results, and certifications.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and operations teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement plans.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of QA equipment and testing tools.
• Stay up to date with changes in food safety regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications And Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within the food industry, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMPs, and SQF.
• Experience conducting audits and managing compliance with FDA, USDA, or other regulatory agencies.
• Proficiency in quality management systems and documentation processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Relevant certifications such as SQF Practitioner, HACCP, or PCQI are highly preferred.
