Job Summary:
The Director, Asia Commercial Operations will manage regional commercial partnership strategies, relationships and execution of business aimed at driving regional revenue growth and expanding market presence. This role involves analyzing and assessing new business opportunities, executing business opportunities, and aligning these initiatives with Blizzard internal stakeholders and long-term business goals.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Develop and execute commercial strategy for the Asia region in partnership with global and regional stakeholders
- Lead the operational execution of commercial business opportunities, translating strategic partnerships into tangible results and sustained growth.
- Contribute to financial models and forecasts for new projects to support strategic decisions-making and inform negotiating strategy.
- Lead negotiations with key partners to maximize business value and secure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Define and track KPIs to assess the impact of commercial initiatives, regularly reviewing performance and presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.
- Establish and optimize processes to ensure consistent and efficient execution of commercial opportunities across the region.
- Manage network of regional relationships and key points of contact for current and prospective business partners, ensuring strong engagement and long-term collaboration.
- Partner closely with development, product, marketing, legal, finance, and other internal teams to integrate partnerships seamlessly, ensure feasibility, and maximize mutual success.
- Collaborate closely with external stakeholders to align on objectives and drive the execution of regional commercial strategies. Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decision-making and capitalize on market shifts
Minimum Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 12 years experience in commercial operations, strategy, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated success in designing and leading cross-organizational strategic initiatives while translating commercial strategy and operational expertise into regional business results.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with globally distributed teams across product, legal, marketing, finance, and development.
- Proven track record in the gaming, entertainment and tech ecosystems, executing new business opportunities, and initiatives informed by monetization models, audience behavior, and competitive insights.
- Proven track record of structuring and navigating complex commercial agreements with global brands, platforms, agencies, and IP holders.
- Experience leading small teams, with responsibility for direct reports or project teams.

- Experience managing internal and external strategic and commercial relationships.
- Experience working with legal and finance teams on contracts and financial forecasts, respectively.
- Experience managing complex multi party workstreams across multiple disciplines.
