The Department of Pathology at Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is recruiting a full-time surgical pathologist, preferably with cytopathology expertise. Pathologists with expertise in other anatomic pathology subspecialties are welcome to apply. Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Pathology in AP/CP or AP is required. If joining as a cytopathologist, fellowship training in Cytopathology is required. This position is located at the Troy Campus.

Annually, Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan Pathology performs approximately 130,000 surgical pathology accessions, 102,000 Pap tests and 22,000 non-gynecologic/FNA cytology accessions. At Corewell Health Troy Hospital, there are approximately 28,000 surgical pathology accessions and 4,500 non-gynecologic/FNA cytology accessions.  Additionally, there is an active cytopathology Rapid On-Site Evaluation service at Troy Hospital.

Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is aligned with Oakland University William Beaumont (OUWB) School of Medicine. Though Corewell Health’s pathology residency and cytopathology fellowship are based at William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, there are educational opportunities with pathology trainees for Troy pathologists, in addition to OUWB medical student education.  Academic appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
