Job Summary:

Servies as the strategic HR business partner for a multi-state, 100+ location operation. This role ensures the right people are in the right seats, driving the development of great people leaders across the organization. The HR Director provides leadership and direction on the consistent application of HR processes, mitigates risk in labor and workforce matters, and optimizes staffing and labor efficiency. This role blends strategic influence with hands-on execution, building scalable HR practices that strengthen leadership capability, improve workforce stability, and ensure compliance across diverse markets



Essential Job Functions:


Leadership and Strategic Oversight

  • Coach and mentor operational market leaders and the Employee Relations Specialist to strengthen leadership, people management, and HR capabilities.
  • Oversee the execution of HR strategies, driving initiatives to improve team member retention; enhance employee satisfaction; and mitigate risk
  • Own the interviewing and selection process for leadership and operations roles, ensuring compliance and high-quality hiring.
  • Lead and facilitate Talent Pipeline and succession planning processes to identify and prepare future leaders.
  • Partner with Operations leaders to ensure staffing levels align with labor budgets and operational needs.
  • Provide ongoing workforce “business reviews” (monthly, quarterly, annual) that track key HR and labor KPIs including turnover, leadership readiness, ENPS, and labor cost.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support retention, engagement, and overall business performance.
  • Support workforce integration during M&A activity, ensuring smooth assimilation and retention of talent.

Hr Field Operations:

  • Own operational team member performance review processes (Impacts, Quarterly Reviews, Annual Reviews)
  • Manage the employee feedback system (Sogolytics), analyze sentiment, and advise leaders on action planning
  • Oversee the employee recognition program (Bucketlist) to reinforce company culture and values.
  • Prepare, analyze, and trend workforce data to monitor and report KPIs such as employee turnover, employee satisfaction, workforce demographics, compensation, and labor cost
  • Utilize HR data and trends to identify opportunity, inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement

Compliance

  • Ensure HR procedures and policies are standardized, consistently applied, and compliant across all field locations.
  • Oversee employee relations, including investigations and progressive discipline, ensuring fair and consistent application.
  • Manage regulatory claims (e.g., EEOC) and partner with legal counsel to mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws. 
  • Frequently communicate HR initiatives, policies, and compliance requirements with field leadership to ensure awareness and adoption.



Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field preferred
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification required
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience supporting multi-unit/multi-state operations
  • Proficient in HR Systems and HR analytics
  • Exceptional communication, relationship building, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, build trust, and align HR strategy with business goals.
  • A passion for consistency, fairness, and cultivating high-performing teams
  • Ability to travel overnight periodically throughout NFPs operating footprint
