Core Responsibilities
Come be responsible for leading hands-on design and evolution of the LEGO Group's GenAI platform, including crafting a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with strategic objectives. Work closely with key partners to see opportunities and drive value realization from the platform. Ensure the platform's reliability, security, compliance, and scalability, proactively addressing operational challenges, hardening security, and optimizing performance.
Lead Platform Development: Architect and build the LEGO Group’s GenAI platform, ensuring it meets business and user needs through scalable, high-quality solutions.
Drive Technical Strategy: Set a clear technical direction for the team, encouraging a culture of engineering excellence and innovation.
Mentor & Grow Talent: Support junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, feedback, and knowledge sharing, promoting standard methodologies and continuous learning.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver integrated GenAI functionality and seamless user experiences.
Ensure Operational Excellence: Take a hands-on role in solving performance bottlenecks, enhancing platform security, and maintaining compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

The team is based in the new LEGO® Digital Office in Copenhagen, offering an exciting, inspiring, and flexible work environment – and a little fun play as well!
Do You Have What It Takes?
The preferred candidate has extensive hands-on experience in building large-scale, distributed Enterprise systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance. Strong proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming. Solid experience building GenAI systems using patterns such as: Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Spec Engineering and/or Context Engineering. Together with hands-on experience with GenAI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration frameworks.
Also, Infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as: Bicep, Terraform or CloudFormation. And have commitment to code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and maintainable design.
Championing security, data privacy, and compliance in all engineering activities.
Experience With Agent-Based Architecture, Including:
- Creating and processing agents.
- Monitoring agent performance.
- Designing agent-to-agent communication protocols.
