Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

 We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to drive our software testing and quality assurance processes. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust test strategies, leading test automation efforts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and DevOps to define quality standards and ensure best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.  

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments   

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering 
• 5+ Years of Relevant QA Experience 
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and QA methodologies. 
• Hands knowledge of test automation tools [like playwright, selenium], Automation frameworks and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, TeamCity or similar. 
• Good knowledge of programming languages preferably TypeScript/JavaScript, Java 
• Good knowledge of APIs and API testing & Automation tools. 
• Ability to use immediate level of SQL queries 
• Strong troubleshooting skills combined with the ability to break down complex issues 
• Familiarity and clear understanding of Agile & Kanban development approaches 
• Familiarity of working with test and defect management tools like JIRA and confluence 

It would be great if you also had 

• Good to have Salesforce knowledge and some experience in Salesforce testing 
• Good to have SF certifications 
• Good to have performance & volume test experience with any performance tools 
• Good to have knowledge around test management tools like Zephyr or similar. 

What will you be doing in this role?  

• Design and Implement Test plans & cases: Develop test plans & cases for applications within the IP (Intellectual Property) domain, system integrations, and enterprise workflows. 
• Test Automation using Playwright & TypeScript: Develop, and maintain scalable, stable, and efficient end-to-end test automation cases using Playwright and TypeScript to validate web-based UIs and APIs. 
• Manual and Exploratory Testing: Conduct detailed manual and exploratory testing for complex business scenarios and workflows, especially those that require deep domain understanding. 
• Defect Reporting & Root Cause Analysis: Log detailed, high-quality defect reports and perform root cause analysis in collaboration with developers and business analysts to ensure fast resolution and high product quality. 
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing and early defect detection. 
• Code Reviews & Best Practices: Participate in peer code reviews for automation scripts, ensure adherence to testing standards, and drive improvements in test architecture and maintainability. 
• Mentorship: Mentor junior QA team members on automation best practices, tools, and domain knowledge. 
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with product owners, developers, business analysts to understand feature requirements, edge cases, and business impact to ensure comprehensive test coverage. 
• Salesforce Testing Expertise: Perform functional and regression testing of Salesforce customizations, Lightning components, and third-party integrations, ensuring platform stability and business rule accuracy.

IPfolio is an IPMS – Intellectual Property Management System based on Salesforce. 

About The Team

The existing team is spread across India and Europe and includes Testers with strong technical and analytical skills. You would be part of the larger IPfolio QA team which further works in different agile teams. Each team within product consists of 2-3 QAs working on both manual and automation areas. This position is for Noida location. 

Hours Of Work

This is permanent position with Clarivate. You will be working in IST time zone. 9 hours of work per day including 1-hour lunch break. We have hybrid working model with at least 3 days per week from office which may change at any point based on RTO mandate from Company heads.
