What’S On Offer?

We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Electrical) to join our growing long-term program of works within the Queensland Utilities division. You will be joining an experienced and focused delivery team on a diverse range of multidisciplined projects within the Gold Coast region.  

In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead the Electrical Engineering aspects of the project from design through to commissioning
  • Provide technical input in to design development, SID Workshops, risk assessments and constructability reviews
  • Manage electrical interfaces with process, civil and mechanical disciplines
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety and quality standards and regulations
  • Manage project schedules, financials, construction plans, methodologies and lookaheads
  • Ensuring work is carried out safely, in compliance with FH Living Safely standards and relevant legislation
  • Support commissioning and handover of electrical and control systems.

How you'll connect to the role:

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (RPEQ desirable)
  • Extensive experience in delivering electrical works on water and wastewater or comparable infrastructure programs
  • Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, Instrumentation, Controls/SCADA and process automation
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants and stakeholders in a collaborative environment
  • Strong people management skills, the ability to develop effective teams
  • Strong management capabilities with the ability to lead from the front (both subcontractors and self-perform staff)
