The Director provides strategic leadership, oversight, and direction for all aspects of incident reporting, investigation support, and prevention. This role ensures regulatory compliance, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a culture of safety, transparency, and accountability across the division. The Executive Director uses data-driven insights to guide policy, mitigate risks, and advance best practices in safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.


Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the full lifecycle of incident management, including reporting, investigation preparation, resolution, and preventive follow-up.
Provides executive oversight of performance-contracting incident management metrics, leveraging analytics and strategic initiatives to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality reporting across the division.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation regulations, meeting or exceeding all reporting deadlines.
• Lead the development of a comprehensive incident review process, including severity-tiered protocols and standardized timelines.
• Use incident trend data and predictive analytics to identify patterns, risks, and prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated responses to incidents and effective support for those impacted.
• Implement or enhance incident tracking technology with real-time dashboards and alerts.
• Develop and deliver annual training on incident management for staff at all levels, including advanced investigation techniques.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies for incident-related matters.
• Promote a culture where staff feel safe reporting incidents without fear of retaliation.

  • • Prepare quarterly reports for executive leadership and the board, highlighting progress, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Performance Metrics
  • • Reduction in repeat incidents in identified high-risk categories.
  • • Improved timeliness of reporting, with 95%+ of incidents submitted within required timeframes.
  • • Demonstrated implementation of preventive measures with measurable outcomes.
  • • Positive staff satisfaction ratings regarding the incident reporting and investigation process.
  • Program Development, Program Management and Quality Assurance:
  • • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services.
  • • Ensure that programs adhere to best practices, regulatory standards, evidence-based standards of care and Merakey policies and procedures.
  • • Monitor program outcomes, client satisfaction, and quality indicators to drive continuous improvement and enhance service delivery.
  • • Makes data-driven decisions utilizing PowerBI data analytics to monitor program performance, track key performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.

• Work closely with program managers and staff to address challenges, identify best practices, and promote innovation

Financial Management and Resource Management:
•Take responsibility for the profit and loss (P&L) of the assigned regions.
•Develop and manage the organization's annual budget in collaboration with Executive Leadership.
•Ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability in all financial operations.
•Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial sustainability.
•Advocate for internal resources, including staff, budget allocations, and operational support, to ensure that programmatic priorities are aligned with organizational goals and adequately resourced for success.


Staff Leadership and Development:
• Provide visionary leadership to a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of empathy, collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
• Recruit, retain, and develop talented staff members who are committed to the organization's mission.
• Promote staff engagement and professional growth through mentorship, training, and performance management.
Partnership Development and Stakeholder Engagement:
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, government agencies, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration and resource sharing.
• Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, joint initiatives, and collective impact efforts to address systemic issues affecting our target populations.
• Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events to raise awareness, build support, and advocate for policy change.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Required 
  • 5-10 Years Total Experience
  • 5-10 Years Supervisory/Managerial Experience
  • Quality Management Certification Required
