HR Generalist Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of broad human resources programs and processes and basic U.S. employment law
• College degree in business related field or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated 3 + years of progressive human resources experience, with at least 4 years of specific employee relations experience
• Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality of employee information
• Strong customer service orientation and service leadership
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and employees
• Proficient in establishing accurate metrics, analyzing data, anticipating trends, and making informed decisions
• Strong conflict resolution skills and demonstrated business acumen
• Excellent time management skills, strong detail orientation and a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Capable of performing in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with a remote team
• Independent problem-solver with proactive research and solution skills
• Effective collaborator within and outside of HR, contributing to a larger team
• Excellent communication skills, including oral and written communications and presentation skills
• Ability to travel is required, approximately 20%

Preferred Qualifications

• Agribusiness or Manufacturing industry experience 
• Experience working in both a corporate and  production facility environments
• Post-secondary degree in human resources or related discipline
• Basic knowledge of Mexico and Canada employment law
• PHR or SHRM professional designation
